Gunmen kill four soldiers, steal arms in Rivers

Four soldiers have been killed and their arms stolen by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Abua-Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State.

According to information from the Rivers State Police Command, the unknown gunmen also abducted two expatriates and fled through a nearby river in the area.

DAILY POST learnt that the military officers were on escort duty when the criminals ambushed them on their way from Bayelsa State to Abua-Odual.

The acting Deputy Director, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Major Danjuma Jonah, is yet to react to the incident as he is yet to take calls or reply to text messages.
